Your Journey to Becoming a Pet Grooming Professional
Our comprehensive program is designed to build your skills progressively. We welcome students aged 18 and older, with flexible full-time and part-time schedules to fit your life.
Program Options & Milestones The program is based on a 6-hour day (9:00 am - 3:00 pm).
-
Full-Time: Attend Tuesday through Friday and complete the program in about 17 weeks. Most students can fully groom a dog in just 12 weeks.
-
Part-Time: Attend two consecutive days per week (e.g., Tuesday/Wednesday or Thursday/Friday). You'll typically graduate in 23-34 weeks, and you can fully groom a dog in about 18-29 weeks.
Every three weeks, we hold a "checkpoint" to ensure you're mastering the fundamentals:
-
Weeks 1-3: Focus on bathing, drying, and handling.
-
Weeks 4-6: Learn prep work, clippering, and scissoring.
-
Weeks 7-9: Bring it all together with breed-specific patterns.
-
Weeks 10-12: Work independently on routines and time management.
The final weeks are dedicated to your exams—a written test and three practical applications (de-shedding, handling, and pattern work). Graduation takes place on your last day of class.
Student Expectations & Policies
We've designed our policies to ensure a safe, professional, and positive learning environment for everyone.
Attendance & Scheduling We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled start time. If you'll be more than 5 minutes late, please call us.
Important Attendance Guidelines:
-
If you need more than three consecutive days off, you must fill out a leave of absence form. Without one, this will be considered a voluntary withdrawal from the program, and all paid tuition will be forfeited.
-
Full-time students with more than six absences in a month will be dropped from the program.
-
Part-time students with more than three absences in a month will be dropped from the program.
Tuition & Payments The total cost of the program is $3,200. A $200 registration fee is due upfront.
-
Full-Time Students: Your remaining balance is covered through weekly payments of $300 for 10 weeks.
-
Part-Time Students: Your remaining balance is covered through weekly payments of $150 for 20 weeks.
Your diploma will be issued once your final payment is complete.
Safety, Conduct, & Professionalism
Our program mirrors the professional standards of the grooming industry. Your safety, the animals' safety, and your professional conduct are our top priorities.
-
Grooming Safety: You are expected to follow all safety procedures, including never leaving animals unattended and sanitizing tools and surfaces between clients.
-
Professional Conduct: We expect professional and respectful behavior at all times.
-
Dress Code: A grooming smock or apron and closed-toe, non-slip shoes are required. Clothing with offensive language, hats, and excessive jewelry are not permitted.
